Favorable verdict in a criminal case!

The client of the law firm was accused of causing a traffic accident as a result of which another person suffered a so-called moderate injury (Article 177 § 1 of the Penal Code).

In the court proceedings, the law firm submitted a motion for conditional discontinuation of the proceedings against the client, where the justification detailed the arguments in favor of applying the mentioned institution of criminal law.

In such proceedings, courts very often impose a ban on driving motor vehicles for a minimum of one year. Given the client’s current life situation, preserving the driving license was a very important aspect of the case.

The District Court in Siedlce shared the law firm’s arguments and by a judgment dated April 18, 2024 (case file number: II K 1426/23) granted the motion for conditional discontinuation of the proceedings against the accused.

The client retained their driving license, as well as the status of a non-convicted person.

The verdict is final.
